At 72 years old, with a lifetime of experience and a deep understanding of technology, I am surrounded by the chaos of the Tik Tok controversy. As a former leader in large-scale IT organizations, I am well-versed in staying ahead of the ever-evolving technology curve. And even at my age, I still engage with thousands of young people every day through video games and online communication. Yet amidst all this knowledge and experience, I cannot help but see the entire situation as nothing more than a steaming pile of bullshit. Sure, there may be over 2 million users and various commercial and security concerns at play, but I can also see past the surface level hoopla to discern what truly matters. It’s time to break free from the grasp of Tik Tok, search for real meaning, and demand substance in our media.
